Common Ground is a group of neighborhood restaurants and bars that serve lunch, brunch, happy hour, and dinner.
They are created by neighborhood people. Common Ground offers approachable yet elevated cuisine, accompanied by a world-class cocktail program.
The space offers a hip-casual atmosphere designed with a modern-simplistic feel. Chef Eric Babula, formerly of Chicago-based 8 Hospitality, leads the culinary team. The beverage program consists of Wes Taylor, formerly of The Patterson House and M Street Entertainment; and Matt Ramos, a certified sommelier recently at Tony Mantuano's Yolan and Kayne Prime Steakhouse
The partnership of Wes and Matt dates back to 2016 when the two were running operations together within the M Street Entertainment restaurant group. After managing the struggles throughout the Covid pandemic, the two began brainstorming the ideal neighborhood spot. Throughout the next few years, the duo went their own ways. Matt bounced around different restaurant groups in Nashville, and Wes became the Beverage Director of M Street. Eventually, the conversation resurfaced of creating their own concept, and what was then born is what you now experience as Common Ground.
